Privacy policy.

Last updated 7 August 2026 · Applies to this campaign site and the enquiry forms on it.

This policy explains what personal information Furrow Management Systems Australia collects through this campaign site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

We have written it to describe what these pages actually do, rather than in generalities. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch.

1. Who we are

This site is operated by LIM GROUP WA, ABN 48 680 332 325, of Western Australia, trading as Furrow Management Systems Australia. We design and manufacture in-furrow liquid delivery systems for seeding.

In this policy, "we", "us" and "Furrow" mean that entity. "You" means anyone visiting this site or submitting one of its forms.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers this campaign site and the enquiry forms on it. It does not cover our main website at furrowmsa.com.au, which may have its own policy, or any third-party site we link to.

This site is intended for an Australian audience. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we handle marketing email in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

3. What we collect

3.1 What you give us

You only give us information if you choose to submit a form. Nothing on this site requires you to identify yourself in order to read it.

  • Quote request (home page and calculator page): first name, last name, trading name, email address, phone number, postcode, what you are looking at, and any console or rig notes you add.
  • Guide download (guides page): first name, last name, email address, postcode, the role you select, which guides you tick, and whether you ask for a call back.

Fields marked optional really are optional. We do not collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act, and we ask you not to include any in free-text fields such as rig notes.

3.2 Calculator and planner inputs

If you use the tube size calculator or the system planner, the numbers you enter - tyne count, implement width, speeds, target rates, liquid product, bar width, air heads, section control and the liquids you run - are held in your browser only. They are sent to us only if you then submit the quote form on that page, in which case they are attached so we can quote accurately. If you use the tools and do not submit the form, we never receive them.

3.3 What is collected automatically

When you submit a form, the following is sent with it so we can respond, understand which campaign brought you here, and filter out automated submissions:

  • The page address you submitted from, and the referring page if there was one.
  • Your browser's user-agent string (browser and device type).
  • Campaign tracking parameters from the link you arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content).
  • How long the form was open before you submitted it, which is used purely to detect bots.
  • A one-time security token proving the submission came from a person rather than a script, and the country your connection came from.

We do not log your IP address in our records, and we do not build a profile of your browsing.

4. Why we collect it

  • To respond to you - prepare a quote, send the guides you asked for, or answer your enquiry.
  • To quote accurately - your rig details let us specify the right kit rather than guess.
  • To keep the forms working - a security check, a timing check and a hidden field that only automated scripts fill in, together stop spam.
  • To understand our advertising - campaign parameters tell us which ad or link brought you here, in aggregate.
  • To send occasional updates, if you asked for the guides - see section 8.

If you do not provide the required fields, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry. That is the only consequence.

5. Cookies, pixels and similar technologies

Like most websites, we and our service providers may use cookies, tracking pixels, tags and similar technologies on this site. They fall into three broad groups:

  • Necessary - make the site work and keep the forms secure. This includes remembering that you have seen our notice bar, and, if you arrived from an advertisement or campaign link, remembering which one so an enquiry can be attributed correctly.
  • Analytics - help us understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages get read, which tools get used, and where people drop off.
  • Advertising and conversion measurement - let us measure how our advertising performs, and may allow advertising platforms to show you relevant Furrow advertising on their own services.

The specific tools in each group may change over time as we review what we use. What does not change is the purpose: understanding demand for our products and measuring whether our advertising is working. We do not use these technologies to make decisions about you individually, and we do not sell the data they produce.

Our bot-protection provider may also set its own storage on your device to work out whether you are a person rather than an automated script. That storage belongs to them and is not used for advertising.

None of this happens if JavaScript is disabled in your browser.

5.1 Managing or opting out

You are not required to accept analytics or advertising technologies, and you have several ways to limit them:

  • Your browser - all major browsers let you block or delete cookies, and most offer a "do not track" or tracking-prevention setting. Blocking necessary cookies may stop the forms working.
  • The advertising platforms themselves - Google and the major social platforms each provide ad-preference controls in your account settings, which apply across every site, not just ours.
  • Industry opt-out - youronlinechoices.com.au lets you opt out of interest-based advertising from participating Australian advertisers in one place.

Opting out does not stop you seeing advertising; it means the advertising you see is less likely to be relevant to you.

6. Service providers we rely on

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Like almost every modern website, this one is assembled from a handful of specialist services rather than run on our own hardware. We have described them by the job they do rather than by brand, because the specific supplier may change over time while the purpose and the safeguards do not.

  • Website hosting and content delivery - serves these pages to your browser. Necessarily receives your IP address in order to send you the page at all.
  • Web font delivery - serves the typefaces the pages are set in, and sees your IP address when the page loads.
  • Bot and abuse protection - checks that a form submission came from a person. Without it the forms would be filled with automated spam within days.
  • Cloud spreadsheet and email services - where your enquiry is recorded so the Furrow team can act on it, and how we are notified that it arrived. Access is restricted to the Furrow team.

In each case we only use the provider for the purpose described, we only pass on what that purpose requires, and we choose established providers who publish their own privacy commitments and are contractually restricted from using your information for their own purposes. None of them is permitted to market to you, sell your details, or build an advertising profile from your use of this site.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.

7. Overseas disclosure

The kinds of providers described in section 6 are typically large international technology companies operating infrastructure across several countries, including the United States. By submitting a form you acknowledge your information may be stored or processed outside Australia, and that overseas recipients may not be subject to the Privacy Act.

Under APP 8 we take reasonable steps before disclosing information overseas: we use established providers with published privacy commitments and contractual limits on how they may handle the data, and we pass on only what the service needs to do its job.

8. Marketing and how to stop it

If you download a guide, you agree we may send you occasional updates about Furrow products. If you request a quote, we contact you about that enquiry.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly, as required by the Spam Act 2003. You can also reply to any email, or use the contact details in section 11, and ask us to stop. Asking us to stop marketing does not affect a quote you have asked for.

9. How long we keep it

APP 11.2 requires us to destroy or de-identify personal information once we no longer need it, so we do not keep enquiries indefinitely. In practice:

  • Enquiries that do not proceed - kept for 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted or de-identified. Buying decisions in cropping run to a seasonal cycle, and a grower who enquires one autumn may well be ready the next; beyond two seasons the record is no longer useful to either of us.
  • Customers - kept for 7 years after the last transaction, so we can support and warrant the system we supplied and meet our record-keeping obligations under Australian tax and corporations law.
  • Marketing subscribers - kept until you unsubscribe, plus a minimal suppression record afterwards so we do not accidentally email you again.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner - see section 11.

10. How we protect it

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection, screened for automated abuse, rate limited, and stored in an access-controlled account. Values are sanitised before they are written. No system is perfectly secure, but if a data breach occurred that was likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

11. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

Under APP 12 and APP 13 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. You can also ask us to delete it.

Contact us using the details in section 12. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. There is no charge. We may need to verify your identity first.

12. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first - most things are sorted out quickly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The current version always sits at this address, with the date it was last updated at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
